Lifting task accidents can very often cause Major Physical Damage and even Fatalities; thus, it is crucial to monitor and follow Safe Systems of work where lifting is performed.

This includes but is not limited to assessing the:

• Safe Working Load as well as other load properties 
• The Tasks that are being performed
• The Equipment and Machines basic adequacy check for the task
• Assessing the competence of the individuals performing the task
• Assessing the environment in which the lift will be performed includes both the weather and the properties of what is under the crane or other machine.
